LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

The Institute seeks to impart Management Education in an intensively participative manner. Besides conventional teaching methods like lectures, case studies, group discussions and presentations, a practical orientation is given through simulation games, role plays, industrial visits and project work. Students are trained in functional areas through computer simulation, so that they learn not only to use computer based information, but also acquire skills in using computer as a vital management tool. |

Keeping in view the growing need for awareness of information technology, the institute has developed a full fledged and well-equipped Computer Center, having state-of-the-art computer Hardware and Software facilities for educational purposes. The facilities in the computer center enable the students to work on Internet. About 10 students can simultaneously access Internet. A multi-user environment is provided in the Computer Center by way of a LAN network on WINDOW - NT and NOVEL - NETWARE and UNIX based system. The Institute seeks to impart Computer education in all functional areas of all disciplines. Latest packages like Oracle 8, VB 6.0, Visual Studio 5, Office XP, SPSS 11.0 etc. are introduced. |
Extra-curricular activities are designed to develop the students into allrounders and to instill in them a quest for knowledge and initiative for experimentation and exploration beyond the frontiers of the classroom. Additional credits are allotted for Involvement, Commitment and Extra-Curricular activities (ICE). |
Eminent personalities are invited to share their thoughts on issues important to Indian society. This is an opportunity for students and faculty to have a close interaction with an eminent person and obtain his/her vision of the future as well as the understanding of the past. |
Successful entrepreneur and managers are frequently invited to provide our students an opportunity to interact with decision makers engaged in the management profession. Visits to industry are also organized to enable students to get inside into practical functioning in the work place. |
